Beddis Family History

I thought long and hard before deciding what to include on these pages. Although the site is primarily about the Beddis family, many other families were involved in its evolution.

My method of researching is to jot down anyone who might be of interest including

· a possible future husband or wife of a Beddis

· a possible family that a Beddis married into

· a family that a Beddis lodged with

these may, or may not, be relevant but they are worth further investigation.

On the basis that the information may be useful to others I have included it all.

Most of the records are from the Forest of Dean but I have travelled outside the area when I have found members of the Beddis family listed there, or where I have a particular interest, hence the Dorset connection.

Eventually I hope to incorporate all the details into a searchable database - but need to brush up on my web publishing skills first!

All Census information has been transcribed from copies of the original Census Returns held on fiche/microfilm or on-line.

As with all transcriptions there will be errors and/or omissions - please let me know so they can be corrected and/or included.
